Another challenging day. Highlight of the day was Donner's sitting for his official portrait. What a ham that guy is. It went well. Then the challenges began, and still have not ended.
Just went into the tent. Will post details of the day tomorrow. In the meantime, i am more concerned about what i think are raccoons than bears. When i shined my flashlight around the forest we are in, i saw multiple sets of eyes reflected in the light staring our way. I put the foodstuffs in the bear locker but had to leave some items in the containers on my roof rack, which black bears and raccoons can get to. But they have to get past my ladder which i put on top of the containers. At least it will wake me. To create noise, i am playing Let's Go To the Hop in repeat mode to alert them to people here, but they know that. That's why there are here. Now i know how Custer felt.
