There is no way I can be 100 ready and rested by tomorrow, so it looks like Thursday is the date we leave. I lost three hours toddy and two last night trying to resolve a Microsoft Outlook problem, although Goodge has to share some of the blame. Apple was the only provider who came through with flying colors. I reasoned that my sluggish Outlook was because I had so many emails in my Inbox (25,000, to be honest), so I had to go through all 25000 of them and delete 23500 of them, two hours. But Google Gmail did not cooperate and was requiring me to delete them there in groups of 2 to 10, so I gave up on that. I returned to Outlook and discovered that it now gets hung up trying to synchronize my trash folder with Google, and will not let me send or receive mail. I searched the web for someone else having the same problem and found two solutions, both of which I tried, and one of them worked. Why these two giants want to synchronic my two trash bins with them I do not know. Sync my inbox but just toss the trash out. We don’t sync our trash cans at home, do we? In any event, I can get back to packing now.
Below is a photo of why it is asking me so long to pack this year. The top photo clearly explains why. He will not let me out of his sight, even if it means sitting on the stuff I am trying to pack.
Below is a photo of all the bags packed and ready to go into the Wardrobe and Linen bags. The Legend is below that. The bags are all color-coded so that when I go up onto the roof rack, especially in the rain, I can just grab which bag I need and close up the big bag so nothing gets wet. I keep a copy of this Legend in the bags themselves so I know which bag to grab. The contents of each bag are protected from the rain by the big outer bags (Wardrobe, Linens), the individual colored nylon bags, and then large heavy-duty trash bags inside them. Despite these precautions, I always found that some rain has seeped into the bags. No big deal.
All but the Office bag is packed. Now I have to get down to the desk work I must complete before I leave.
